Annual Bicycle Festival:

Our signature event, the Annual Bicycle Festival, is the heart of our mission. Organized by our passionate Board of Directors and supported by enthusiastic volunteers, this festival brings together cyclists of all backgrounds and skill levels, wellness enthusiasts, foodies, and anyone looking to let the good times roll.

Two Locations, One Mission:

The festival kicks off at City Park with a wellness portion that includes invigorating stretches and a filling station stocked with refreshing beverages to kickstart your ride.

Gumbo Bike Ride:

Join us for the Gumbo Bike Ride, an inclusive journey inviting riders of all ages and social backgrounds to pedal down the scenic Lafitte Greenway. This ride celebrates the unity and diversity of our community as we make our way to the beautiful Lemann Grounds, located right on the Greenway.

Wellness:

A major component of the festival is emphasizing wellness, with educational initiatives and activities designed to promote safe cycling practices and the benefits of a healthy, active lifestyle. At City Park, start your day with energizing stretches and hydrating refreshments before embarking on your ride. The wellness portion ensures you’re ready to enjoy the ride to the fullest.

Festive Atmosphere:

Destination: Laissez Le Bon Temps Rouler, Lemann @ Lafitte Greenway. Here you’ll experience the festive spirit of New Orleans. The festival atmosphere is fueled with music, non-profit stations, food & merch vendors, a VIP Mimosa Brunch Tent, and activities that bring nostalgic memories of family day in the park.

The mission of the Big Easy Bicycle Festival is to raise awareness of the vibrant bicycling community in New Orleans. Our goal is to promote awareness of the health and social impact that biking in New Orleans offers, while sparking conversations about cyclist safety for both recreational and avid riders. Through our events, we cultivate a sense of community among cyclists, cycling enthusiasts, and those who enjoy coming together for a good cause. We support community organizations dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in our city, all while bringing people together to celebrate life in a festive and impactful way.
